Which programmes can I apply for at CUDLC right now?

For the 2025/2026 pioneer cohort, CUDLC is admitting only into <strong>B.Sc. Computer Science</strong>. Our broader programme catalogue — Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Accounting, Mass Communication, Law, the MBA, and others — will open session by session as each programme is brought online. You can register your interest via the <a href="/contact">contact form</a> to be notified when your preferred programme launches.

How do I apply to CUDLC?

Click "Apply Now" on the homepage to start an application. You will need your O'level results and a passport photograph. <strong>JAMB is NOT required for Distance Learning</strong> — the JAMB UTME slip is only needed if you are applying through full-time UTME entry into the conventional campus. The application is fully online — no need to visit campus.

Do I need JAMB to apply for Distance Learning?

<strong>No, JAMB is not required for Distance Learning admission at CUDLC.</strong> The Distance Learning programme accepts candidates based on O'level results (5 credits including English and Mathematics, plus subjects relevant to the programme). JAMB UTME is only required for the conventional full-time campus mode. Direct Entry candidates with OND, HND, NCE, or A-Levels are also welcome.

What is the JAMB cut-off for CUDLC?

JAMB is only required for the conventional full-time campus mode (not Distance Learning). For full-time UTME applicants, the approved JAMB cut-off mark for Caleb University in the 2026/2027 academic session is 160. The pioneer programme — B.Sc. Computer Science — additionally requires that English, Mathematics, and Physics are in your UTME subject combination. Distance Learning applicants can disregard this question.

Do I need to come to Imota for screening?

No. CUDLC screening is conducted entirely online via video interview at a scheduled time. Bring your original O'level result and a means of identification to the video call. Distance Learning applicants do not need a JAMB slip.

Can I apply through Direct Entry?

Yes. Holders of OND in Computer Science / Computer Engineering, NCE in Computer Science, HND in a relevant computing field, or A-Levels with Mathematics may apply via Direct Entry to enter B.Sc. Computer Science at 200-level. Full credentials are required during application.

Can I apply if I sat O'level in two different sittings?

Yes. CUDLC accepts O'level results from a maximum of two sittings (e.g. WAEC + NECO, or two WAEC sittings). The combined credits must include English, Mathematics, and Physics.

I have an OND/HND — can I skip the first year?

Yes, through Direct Entry. OND in Computer Science / Computer Engineering (Upper Credit minimum), NCE in Computer Science (Merit minimum), or HND in a relevant computing field (Lower Credit minimum) qualifies you to enter at 200-level.

Is there an interview, and what is it like?

Yes. After you pay the application fee, you'll be scheduled for a 20-minute online video interview with the Admissions Committee. You'll be asked about your motivation, prior background, and your plans for managing the workload alongside other commitments. Have your original documents on hand for verification.

How long does it take to get an admission decision?

Decisions are typically released **within 7–14 working days** of your screening interview. Successful candidates receive a digital admission letter and instructions to pay the acceptance fee. Unsuccessful candidates are notified by email with the reason and may reapply in the next intake.

How much does the B.Sc. Computer Science programme cost?

Tuition for B.Sc. Computer Science is {{tuition_total}} per academic session, with {{application_fee}} application fee. Can I pay tuition in instalments?

Yes. Tuition can be split across two or three instalments per session. The first instalment must be paid before classes begin; subsequent ones are due before mid-semester.

Is the application fee refundable?

No. The application fee is non-refundable, regardless of admission outcome. It covers processing, screening, and the interview slot.

Do you offer scholarships?

Yes — including the Zenith Bank/Caleb University Scholarship for outstanding candidates and merit-based partial awards for top JAMB scorers. The 2025/2026 round is the first to extend to CUDLC distance learners. See the Tuition & Fees page for the current scholarship list.

When are fees due?

Fees are payable per semester. The application fee is due on submission. The acceptance fee is due within 14 days of receiving your admission letter. Tuition for each semester is due before the start of that semester — exact deadlines are published on the academic calendar.

What payment channels do you accept?

Caleb pay portal (online card/transfer via Paystack/Flutterwave), direct bank deposit to the Caleb University tuition account, and POS payment at any authorised partner branch.

Are there scholarships or payment plans?

Yes — CUDLC offers a limited number of pioneer-cohort scholarships covering up to 50% of tuition for outstanding candidates. We also accept **per-semester instalment plans** (typically 2 instalments per semester) for tuition. Contact the admissions office for details.

Can I switch programmes after admission?

Inter-programme transfers within CUDLC are considered after your first semester, subject to space and meeting the requirements of the destination programme. Transfers from CUDLC to the on-campus programme (and vice-versa) are reviewed on a case-by-case basis at the end of an academic session.

Will I have a dedicated lecturer?

Each course has a lead lecturer who delivers recorded lessons, hosts the weekly live tutorial, and answers questions on the course discussion board. Larger cohorts also get a tutorial assistant for additional Q&A support.

Are lectures live or recorded?

Both. Live sessions are held in the evenings and weekends so working students can attend; every live session is also recorded and stored on the LMS for replay at any time.

Will I get a different certificate from regular Caleb students?

No. CUDLC graduates receive a Caleb University degree certificate, exactly the same as full-time students. The mode of study is recorded internally but does not appear on the certificate or transcript title.

Do I get a Caleb University degree at the end?

Yes — exactly the same degree certificate, from Caleb University, Lagos. The degree does not say "distance learning" on it. It carries the same NUC accreditation as the on-campus programme.

How are exams conducted?

A blend of continuous assessment (40%) — quizzes, assignments, and projects — and final examinations (60%). Exams are proctored online with a webcam and ID verification, or at one of our regional study centres.

Do I need to come to campus at all?

For B.Sc. Computer Science, no — the entire programme is delivered online. Convocation, when applicable, is the only on-campus event. Future programmes that include practical lab modules will publish their attendance requirements when they launch.

How are exams proctored online?

Exams are conducted via the CUDLC Learning Management System with a combination of live invigilator video monitoring, browser lockdown (no other tabs/apps), and identity verification. You'll be sent a system-readiness checklist before each exam window.

What internet speed and device do I need?

You need a stable internet connection (minimum 2 Mbps for live tutorials; recordings can be downloaded for offline viewing) and any device with a modern browser — laptop, desktop, tablet, or recent smartphone. A laptop is strongly recommended for assessments and programming coursework.

What technology do I need?

A modern laptop (Windows, macOS, or ChromeOS), a stable internet connection of at least 4 Mbps, a webcam and microphone for live classes and exams, and a smartphone for the CUDLC mobile app.

Is there technical support if I need help?

Yes. The CUDLC IT helpdesk is staffed Monday–Saturday 8am–10pm. Open a ticket via the student portal or call the helpdesk hotline for live assistance.

Where is Caleb University located?

Caleb University's main campus is at **KM 15, Ikorodu-Itoikin Road, Imota, Lagos**. CUDLC operates from the same campus but is delivered fully online — you do not need to be in Lagos to study with us.

When does the academic session start?

For the **2025/2026 pioneer session**: applications open 1 February 2026. The first intake screens between March–June 2026 with classes commencing September 2026. The second intake screens August–October 2026 with classes commencing January 2027.

Is Caleb University faith-based?

Yes. Caleb is a faith-based institution rooted in Christian values, but our doors are open to qualified candidates of every background. Our Christian ethos shapes the character of education without being a barrier to entry.
