How CUDLC handles your personal data.

CUDLC takes the protection of personal data seriously and complies with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and applicable international standards. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights.

What we collect

  • Identification data — name, date of birth, photograph, ID document details, matriculation number.
  • Contact data — email address, phone number, postal address.
  • Academic data — your O'level results, post-secondary qualifications, transcripts, course registrations, examination scores, project work.
  • Financial data — fee payments and payment receipts (we do not store card numbers; payments are processed by Caleb University's payment gateway).
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, cookies, and usage patterns when you use the website or LMS.

How we use your data

  • To assess your application and admit you to the programme.
  • To deliver your programme — registration, course access, assessment, examination administration.
  • To support your studies — communication, learner-support services, library access.
  • To meet our regulatory obligations — to NUC and other authorities.
  • To improve our services — site analytics, programme evaluation, anonymised research.

Who we share data with

  • Caleb University central administration — for record-keeping, financial processing, and convocation.
  • The National Universities Commission and other Nigerian regulators — where required by law.
  • External examiners — for assessment moderation.
  • Service providers — payment gateways, courier companies for course-material delivery, IT infrastructure providers.
  • Future employers, postgraduate institutions, or scholarship sponsors — only with your explicit authorisation.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Your rights

Under NDPR, you have the right to access your data, request correction, request deletion of data we no longer need, object to processing for marketing, and lodge a complaint with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). To exercise any of these rights, contact the CUDLC Administrative Secretary.
